Estate Agent, Lindsay Curtis at Webbers Braunton office was speaking to Clive, who had called into the office. He was weighing up his options of renting versus buying.

Lindsay mentioned that Andy Haynes, “Ilfracombe Correspondent” was in their office and that speaking to him would be a great idea, as he could look at the ‘maths’ of both options. Clive greed and an appointment was set up for that afternoon.

Clive was in a good position and had a deposit available, so purchasing was a viable option for him. Indeed, when Andy worked out the finances, the monthly mortgage payments would be less than the monthly costs of renting.

An efficient partnership

Andy then took Clive back to Lindsay, and the trio discussed budget. Lindsay happened to have a property available which met all his requirements. He viewed it the following day and immediately made an offer. His mortgage offer came through nine days later!
